After launching in 1998, the silhouette has appeared consistently but quietly over the years since. Now, it makes its debut for the year in a “Ginger” colorway.Historically, the Air Jordan 14 played an important part in Michael Jordan’s legacy in the world of basketball. Within the world of sneakers, the 12th design by Tinker Hatfield for #23 has largely been overshadowed by other signature shoes prepped for the Chicago Bulls legend.Recently, official images of the model in a “Ginger” ensemble surfaced, leading countless sneaker enthusiasts to jump for joy as the autumn-friendly outfit was returning for the first time since 1999. Despite returning as a women’s-exclusive and non-low-top, the “Ginger” retro further demonstrates that most options under the “Air Jordan” banner will return at some point.
As this Air Jordan 14 Ginger will be one of the notable offerings next year. Essentially inspired by the OG Air Jordan 14 Low “Ginger” that debuted back in 1999, this forthcoming edition is suggested to flaunt the familiar “Ginger/Black-White” color scheme, similar to the aforementioned pair. The Air Jordan 14, known for drawing its inspiration from Ferrari sports cars, stays true to its original form with its “Ginger” iteration. Kicking off the detailing, the upper utilizes a nubuck layer in a golden yellow. From there, black is found at the heel, trim, branding, tongue, laces and outsole to balance the color palette. In contrast, white touches down on the leather toe cap, branding and midsole. Branding elements range from Jumpman logos at the toe, heel, outsole and Air Jordan 14 emblem to “JORDAN” at the tongue and “23” at the heel, completing the look.
