FIFA 21's cover stars have seemingly leaked ahead of the official reveal trailer. We already have a release date for FIFA 21 and we know it's coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, but we've hardly seen anything of the game and we still don't know who will be on the cover. That said, the former will be remedied tomorrow. Meanwhile, it looks like we have an answer to the latter as well.
According to the fan, FIFA 21 will have four players appear on its box, namely Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), João Félix (Atlético Madrid), Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund), and Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain). As for how they figured this out, the fan looked into the metadata of the video and these four players are explicitly named. While it's not necessarily a confirmation, them being mentioned does seem to indicate that they will be the cover stars.
On top of this, all cover stars have leaked via tags in FIFA website. Players have found data that reveals four names - PSG's Kylian Mbappe, who will most likely be the main cover star, Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is probably on The Champion Edition of the game. Furthermore, Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland and Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix are also found in the code, which suggests that this year's FIFA could have four editions. It is also possible that Haaland and Joao Felix are featured on a single cover, potentially for the Ultimate Edition.
Considering having four players on the same cover might be a bit crowded, it's most likely that EA is planning three or four different editions of the game, each with a different cover star or stars. How well this will go down with fans is anyone's guess.
