A good deal of people will not provide this much merit has not posted anything yet
Rex Dickson is his name. He had been always on twitter participating with fans. He shot himself in the foot a bunch because he always made promises he could not keep bc it was not his place to make promises. When he ceased he did a bunch of interviews telling folks why madden sucks. My purpose revolved around the fact that the madden group is totally dreadful at PR, and creating their community feel valued and heard. Seems like both times he is just saying shit in order to receive viewpoints. A good deal of people will not provide this much merit until they see active alterations, which is sensible, but when's the last time anybody from the Dev team confessed that the game style needed fixing similar to this? Seems promising to me that they're addressing this. M22 could see an overhaul when this is legit.
Rex Dixon left the company pretty much for attempting to push more franchise and gameplay fixes. Suits want to push the match in another direction. Can it be specifically him ? Granted I have only listened to his side of the story after years of attributing it specifically on him. If the buck does not stop with the creative manager, where does it stop at? . Again this is coming out of his perspective, but in this breakdown of a meeting w/ Rex, he mentions he abandoned EA, and the way he pushed to postpone the match for a year to to build the game from the ground up to move away from legacy code. The former manager Ian Cummings left for similar reasons, at the end of the afternoon EA is well known for killing franchises, and spewing into the lowest denominator in relation to customer relations.
Could you say that he was still responsible, sure. However, I also believe there were individuals higher up that made madden the game it is today. Rex was still the one to gut M12's Franchise and replaced it with all the dead version we have now. He was there for that I believe 6 years. He became a"martyr" because of him being outspoken against EA in the conclusion. Obviously he is not going to accept responsibility for his own participation, or lack thereof, to madden achievement. 2K nevertheless has a yearly dev cycle, has executives/VPs, etc. to appease. However, it produces a much superior finished product.
Pretty sure this reaction was to quiet negativity quite a little, at least before launch, so that they are able to continue to keep their M21 ad effort going without much disturbance. And I believe they achieved their goal. When game launch will be shut, just mark my words, they gonna come out and say this:" Sorry, team worked hard, but we couldn't make any huge changes so profound into development phase. Not to mention M22 franchise will nonetheless be exact same as M13. It will be exact same thing that they did with M20. Since release, when sport was completely unplayable for very large collection of PC players who had Core i5 processors (which has largest userbase). They kept telling commumity from their official channels that team is"working hard on the correct", right up until NFL season was over, to keep sales up and after that just came out and said that fix wasn't coming. They did not even give any refunds to people that got screwed over like that.
Put an intentionally awful memo about what is new in franchise mode so they could return out within a month, say that they haven't had sufficient time to make major improvements so these are the minor ones they created, and watch the community give them praise for doing the least. I'd be willing to wager that whatever they add was in the works for a little while now, and they're gonna get positive press for it today even though it won't be a lot. In case it gives us a fantastic Franchise mode. I don't care what tactic they did lol. But will their tactics give us a fantastic franchise mode? Probably not.
